Program Reports

What is a program report? Program Reports Program reports contain information on a particular volunteer’s experience in a specific program. The reports are submitted by the volunteers themselves, and are designed to disseminate information on international development volunteer programs. Potential volunteers can use the information to decide whether a program is a good fit for them, and organizations can use the information as feedback on how well their programs are being run.

2. How do program reports work?
Any volunteer is welcome to submit a report about his or her volunteer experiences. Each report is submitted on one program offered by an organization. The volunteer offers an opinion on how good the program was in general, along with how good the program offered support before, during, and after the engagement, as well as how well the program met set expectations. Periodically, reports are reviewed by Eye On Development staff for appropriateness.

3. Can I submit a report anonymously?
Of course you can! Just make sure that when you submit the report you check the anonymous check box.

4. Is there a guarantee that the information in the reports is correct?
Since the reports are submitted by volunteers Eye On Development cannot guarantee that any of the information is 100% accurate. We advise you to utilize judgement and consider the information as subjective advice and not as hard facts.

5. I want to collect reports on my organization’s programs. How do I do this?
As an organization you may want to use Eye On Development’s report building and report collection infrastructure to gather feedback from your volunteers around the globe. You can create your own questions, and best of all, it’s free! Just follow these steps:

6. Why should I become a member?
Eye On Development was founded to provide information on international development volunteer programs. It’s not easy though; the information is not only very qualitative in nature, it’s mostly stored in people’s heads where it’s not very accessible. Heads such as yours. If you
a) have volunteered before,
b) are considering volunteering, or
c) are part of an international development non-profit, you have or will have valuable information that the community needs. Share your information; become a member and make a difference.
